As well as the bar where our campers take pleasure in meeting for a convivial lunch or around a beer according to the mood of each one.
You will also find a bakery service, pastries, groceries and local products with various drinks at our small local food store.
In the heart of the Ardèche gorges , the campsite offers its customers a canoe-kayak rental service. With Ardèche Bateaux canoe rental is done directly on site in the campsite. You are ready to discover one of the 8 possible routes.
Evening or night owls will not be left out if they want to go out and enjoy the night activities. The choice is wide. Naturally, the camp offers holidaymakers a night watchman service to preserve their tranquility.

MOBILE HOME RENTAL

Renowned for the Ardèche region, the gorges consist of a 32 km long canyon. The latter has been shaping the landscape for 110 million years. Stop at the belvederes all along the D290 – the famous gorge road. You will discover breathtaking parnoramic scenes.

An atypical geological and archaeological heritage, the gorges offer a natural environment conducive to relaxation and contemplation. At the bottom of the gorges, time stands still. The family on vacation is gradually taking a step back from their daily routine. It’s the right time, it’s the right place to relax, let go or swim on the beach of the camp.
The fauna and flora are very rich. Many varieties of emblematic animal and plant species such as scrubland and holm oaks thrive and are protected thanks to France’s 1,575-hectare nature reserve. If you are attentive – and equipped with a good pair of binoculars – you will be able to observe Bonelli’s Eagle hovering above your heads. The Egyptian vultures are also very present, as well as the European beaver.
The monumental cliffs of the gorges are home to many caves, chasms and sinkholes. Small or gigantic, caving enthusiasts have a blast. But if you were to visit just one, then don’t miss the Saint-Marcel cave.

How to choose the right location
The camping spot… knowing how to choose it and reserve it before it is taken by someone else. A whole strategy.
At La Rouvière, the pitches are numerous and varied. You can opt for the rental of a mobile home, a canvas bungalow, or a privatized collective tent if you come in a group. But you can just as well set up on a free pitch to pitch your tent or put your caravan or motorhome.
The conditions for camping in the department and the regulations in general are very strict. We are in southern Ardèche, fire and fires remain a major concern in high season. It is for this reason that wild camping in the gorges is prohibited. In addition, they are declared as a nature reserve and classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You have to be aware that accessing this reserve is a privilege. The counterpart is to respect and preserve this environment. Two bivouac areas – the Gaud and the Gournier – allow you, after booking, to stay the night in an equipped, authorized and secure place if you are going down the Ardèche in 2 or 3 days, for example. These bivouacs are clearly privileged spaces to appreciate the preserved beauty of the gorges. Your holidays will be unforgettable in the middle of nature and the Gorges.
